Advanced Applied I Ching

This course goes further into the I Ching: the Early and the Later Heaven Ba Gua, the five elements seen through the Ba Gua, and how the guas are applied to the channels. You learn to build seasonal treatments and five-element treatments with all 64 hexagrams, and to combine the eight extraordinary vessels with the Later Heaven Ba Gua for sleep disorders.

What you will learn
This course builds on Applied I Ching. It goes deeper into the theory, and into more complex cases.
- The Early and Later Heaven Ba GuaWhat each arrangement means, and how both apply to acupuncture.
- The seasons and elements of the 64 hexagramsHow to recognise the season and the elemental relationships held in each hexagram.
- Seasonal treatmentsTreating each channel in harmony with the season, using seasonal interactions.
- Five-element treatmentsTreatments built from the 64 hexagrams, to strengthen, to calm, and with the controlling cycle.
- Sleep disordersCombining the eight extraordinary vessels with the seasonal interactions of the Later Heaven Ba Gua.

The Later Heaven Ba Gua and the seasons
A review of the Early Heaven Ba Gua, then the Later Heaven Ba Gua and the five elements, and how to build seasonal treatments, with case studies, demonstrations and supervised practice.
Day 2
The five elements and sleep
Five-element treatments with the Ba Gua, including the controlling cycle, then the eight extraordinary vessels and the treatment of sleep disorders, with case studies, demonstrations and supervised practice.
